Endpoints (5 live)

  • POST /api/upload — Upload an image with payment and get a public URL. Accepts multipart form-data (field 'image') or JSON {"file": "<base64>"}. 10MB max, permanent hosting (no expiration). PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP. (0.01 USDC on Base)
  • POST /api/upload/token — Pay $0.01 USDC to get an upload token for a PERMANENT image (no expiration). Use the returned token to upload via: curl -X POST https://img402.dev/api/upload -H 'X-Upload-Token: TOKEN' -F image=@file.png — The upload returns {url, id, contentType, sizeBytes, expiresAt: null}. Permanent images are retained for the life of the service; if we ever shut down, we will give at least 90 days notice. Supports PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP up to 10MB. (Images 1MB or under are free AND permanent via POST /api/free — pay only for 1-10MB permanence.) (0.01 USDC on Solana)
  • POST /api/upload/token/permanent — LEGACY route: POST /api/upload/token now provides the same permanent hosting for $0.01 — use that instead. This $1 route remains for backward compatibility and still works (permanent image, up to 10MB). (1 USDC on Solana)
